On this Rainforest Wildlife Tour you will visit coastal and highland rainforest, open eucalypt woodland, grassland, wetlands, and farmland. This the best tour for seeing native wildlife in its natural environment.

Departure Dates: Daily at around 2pm with a minimum of three people and a maximum of 12 people and returns at approximately 11.30pm. Pick up from Cairns, Cairns Beaches Hotels is complimetary but pick ups from Port Douglas hotels, is an extra cost. Advance bookings are highly recommended.

More Information:

Visit the scenic Atherton Tablelands, an area that features a range fo habitats including lush tropical rainforest and vlocanic crater lakes. By day we may see the Musky Rat Kangaroo, Boyd's Forest Dragon and a selection of rainforest birds. At dusk we venture to the river to search for Platypus, one of the most unique mammals on earth. After dinner at a country restaurant, the night of spotting begins. As we walk along mountain tracks, we may be lucky enought to spot Lumholtz's Tree Kangaroo, gliders, frogs, owls and more. Every night is full of discoveries. Later over supper, we reflect on what we have seen and return home with an increase appreciation of rainforest life.
