If you have already completed your open water course somewhere else and would like to update or upgrade your skills with Cairns‘ Premier Dive Training School then this is the course for you. You'll have the opportunity to participate in up to 11 dives, 9 day and 2 night, over the duration of the trip. Five of these dives will be training dives required to complete your PADI Advanced Certification and the remaining six will be recreational dives for you to enjoy the spectacular Great Barrier Reef on board one of three multi-million dollar dive boats, purpose built for outer reef diving.

Your 5 Advanced course training dives are made up of three core dives being 'Deep diving', 'Underwater Navigation' and 'Night diving' and then two elective subject dives where you have a choice between 'Underwater naturalist', 'Search and Recovery', and the popular 'Underwater photography'. Some other elective dive options may be available.

Pre-requisite for this course is a PADI Open water certificate or the equivalent certification with another training agency. There are no formal classroom sessions involved with this course, but you are required to read through the PADI "Adventures in Diving" manual and answer the relevant knowledge reviews prior to participating in the training dives.

Pick up times from your hotel:
Cairns: 6.30am
Cairns beaches: 6.00am

Return times to your hotel:
Cairns beaches: 5.00pm
Cairns: 4.30pm

Pickup or Departure Point Details:
This tour includes a hotel pick up and drop off from your Cairns or Northern beaches accommodation.

Optional Extras:
Digital Underwater Camera's are available for hire at a cost of A$40 per dive.

Important Information
Insufficient dive qualifications and/or some medical conditions may prevent you from diving. Prior to diving, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire regarding your diving qualifications, experience & current fitness to dive. Should you answer yes to any of the medical question asked you will be required to consult a doctor to acquire a written medical clearance to dive prior to your dive trip. If you are unsure about a specific medical condition please check with your doctor or with us prior to making your reservation.
Flying After Diving: We recommend that you do not fly for at least 24 hours after your last dive. Your last dive will be completed by midday on day 3 of your trip.
