This is a Reef and Rainforest tour which combines a 3 day visit to the Daintree with a visit to the Great Barrier Reef while you are there. This trip also includes a one hour wildlife cruise on the Daintree river that is included on the first day, two nights accommdotion, a half day reef tour, and a visit to the Daintree Wilderness Sanctuary which is where injured animals are rehabilitated to be returned to the wild.
Departure Dates: Daily except for Christmas day from Cairns hotels at around 7.30am, and around 8.50am from Port Douglas hotels. The trip returns on the third day at around 5pm to Port Douglas hotels and 6pm to Cairns hotels. This trip runs everyday regardless of if there is only two people on the bus. Advance bookings are recomended, particularly in peak holiday periods.

A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking. The remaining balance is payable on the day of travel.(plus $5 reef tax pay on board per person) Your ticket will be emailed to you shortly after we receive your booking request.
Basic Itinerary:
Day 1 - Cairns to Cape Tribulation This Cape Tribulation tour starts with a pick up from your accommodation in Cairns at 7.30am or Port Douglas at 8.30am and takes you on a scenic coastal drive until your first stop at the banks of the Daintree River. Board your Wildlife River Cruise boat on the Daintree River as your tour guide looks for crocodiles in the wild. After the Daintree River cruise your tour guide will escort you along some of the Botanical Boardwalks telling you the Aboriginal history and explaining the different types of flora and fauna. Then it's onto Cape Trib Beach House or PK's Jungle Village for an afternoon check in to your accommodation in Cape Tribulation.
The afternoon is yours to explore Cape Tribulation or take an additional horseback ride on the beach, rainforest walk or rainforest canopy tour called "Jungle Surfing"
Day 2 - Half Day Great Barrier Reef Tour (Operates most mornings and sometimes in the afternoons if conditions are good, but best to book for the morning tour) Your tour begins at Cape Tribulation Beach where you board this new purpose-built vessel for a 30 minute ride to the outer Great Barrier Reef. Spend the next 2 hours snorkelling the tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef in two different locations showcasing the diversity and abundance of fish, coral and marine life. On your way back, enjoy the spectacular coast of dense green rainforest running along the white sandy beach lapped by the turquoise ocean. Includes bus transfers and arrives back to your accommodation at around midday. The rest of your day is free time.
Day 3 - Cape Tribulation to Cairns You will have the morning free to explore Cape Tribulation or take an additional horseback ride along Cape Tribulation beach, rainforest walk or canopy tour called "Jungle Surfing". Early afternoon you will be picked up at your accommodation to begin your return to Cairns. En-route to Cairns you will stop at Alexandra Range Lookout for some breathtaking photographs of the Daintree National Park and the Cairns coastline. Next stop will be the Daintree Wilderness Sanctuary. Time is then spent in the famous village of Port Douglas where you can soak up the atmosphere of the rich and famous. Around 5pm you will be returned back to your Port Douglas accommodation or at 6pm to your Cairns accommodation after an exciting three days and two nights of Cape Tribulation and the Great Barrier Reef touring.
Accommodation Options: Cape Trib Beach House is a quiet place with dorm style rooms, or private cabins, depending on your taste and budget. PK's Jungle Village is a little more rustic and tends to have more of a party atmosphere at night time than other places in the area.
