If you think a one day reef trip might not be enough time to see all the reef has to offer, you might want to consider sleeping at the reef for the night so you can enjoy TWO days at the reef!
This purpose built Great Barrier Reef liveaboard, twin hull catamaran is capable of sleeping 38 passengers and has an impressive 16 ensuites. The boat is 25 metres in length and each of the 16 cabins (twin, double, triple and 4-berth) are fully air-conditioned, carpeted, have their own en-suite facilities and port hole or window.
On the main deck there is a spacious saloon served by a top class galley and a well stocked bar. The top deck offers an enclosed air-conditioned sun lounge as well as an open and shaded sundeck. The boat is equipped with a spacious dive deck along with a dive tender, Joey Explorer, both providing easy access to and from the water.
There is plenty of time for snorkelling and if you are a certified scuba diver there is time for up to 5 dives during the day and 1 at night.
Here is the itinerary: (subject to change if necessary due to weather or other operational reasons)
DAY ONE - 3 certified dives and/or snorkelling
- 7.45am pick up from your Cairns city accommodation
- 9.00am Board our fast modern transfer boat for 90 minute transfer to Outer Barrier Reef * Equipment selection
- 2 scuba dives or snorkelling from the transfer boat and lunch before transferring to your floating hotel and reef snorkel and scuba vessel for the next two nights.
- 2.30pm transfer to the liveaboard boat for the night
- Afternoon dive or snorkelling and night dive (for certified divers only) + Lunch, dinner and accommodation included.
DAY TWO - 3 certified dives and/or snorkelling
- Breakfast, and lunch are included
- 2 certified scuba dives and/or snorkelling before 2.30pm.
- 3.00pm Depart Outer Barrier Reef bound for Cairns on the transfer boat that brought you out to the reef on day 1
- Return to your Cairns city accommodation approx. 5pm
NOTE: You can request the type of cabin you would like at the time of booking. It works on a first in, first served basis. Double, twin and quad share cabins are all the same price.
People who are not certifed scuba divers can try scuba diving, called "introductory diving" for a cost of $120 for 3 dives
Certified divers can request a "guide dive" if they would prefer that, to just having a dive buddy. The price per guided dive is $15, payable on board.
Departs: Daily from Cairns Marina at 8.30am, with pick up from Cairns city hotels included, and pick from Cairns Beaches and Port Douglas hotels, available at extra cost. Advance bookings are highly recommended.

Rates are per person, irrespective of age.
Departs: Daily from Cairns Marina at 8.30am, with pick up from Cairns city hotels included, and pick from Cairns Beaches and Port Douglas hotels, available at extra cost. Advance bookings are highly recommended.

Pickup or Departure Point Details:
This tour includes a hotel pick up and drop off from your Cairns city hotel or for $20 p.p. extra you can also be picked up and dropped off to Northern beaches holiday accommodation also.

Please advise where in Cairns or the beaches you will be staying. We also book Cairns accommodation at the best locally available rates so if we can help you with that, please let us know.
Important Information:
Insufficient dive qualifications and/or some medical conditions may prevent you from diving. Prior to diving, you will be asked to complete a questionnaire regarding your diving qualifications, experience & current fitness to dive. Should you answer yes to any of the medical question asked you will be required to consult a doctor to acquire a written medical clearance to dive prior to your dive trip. If you are unsure about a specific medical condition please check with your doctor or with us prior to making your reservation.
Flying After Diving: We recommend that you do not fly for at least 24 hours after your last dive. Your last dive will be completed by 2pm on day 2 of your trip.
A 20% cancellation fee applies.
There is no refund if notified less than 48 hours prior to departure
