This tour combines the best of the Reef and Rainforest into one or two action packed days. It is available as a one day tour for those on a limited time schedule or as a two day tour for those with more free time to explore the Kuranda Rainforests. NB: The One day option has No free time in Kuranda.

Departure Dates: This package can commence any day of the year, except 25 Dec, subject to availability. Advance bookings are recommended as the helicopter only seats six people. It will run with a minimum of 2 people however enquires are welcome for just one person.

The highlights of this tour are the historical Kuranda Train journey through the rainforest with views of the Barron Gorge and you will be amazed at this incredible engineering feat. Another highlight is the famous Kuranda Skyrail Cableway, gliding over the rainforest canopy, with awesome views of the Coral Coast and beyond, (the longest cablecar journey in the world at 7.5km). Lastly, your Great Barrier Reef experience commences with an exhilarating 20 minute helicopter scenic flight over beautiful coral formations to a multi-storey Outer Reef Pontoon. You'll have plenty of time to explore the reef either through snorkelling or without even getting your feet wet via the semi submarine coral view ing tours or underwater observatory.

The one day itinerary is as follows:

Pick up from your holiday accommodation at between 7.30am-8.00am.
Depart on Kuranda Scenic Rail at 8.50am. Arrives at Kuranda by 10.10am
Depart on Skyrail from Kuranda at 10.30am
Pick up from the Caravonica Skyrail Terminal at 11.45am
Depart Cairns Helipad at 12.30pm. Arrives at Pontoon by 1.00pm.
Depart the Outer Reef Pontoon by fast catamaran at 3.45pm.
Returns to Reef Fleet Terminal in Cairns at 5.30pm

The two day itinerary is as follows:

Day 1
Pick up from your holiday accommodation at between 8.30am-9.00am.
Depart on Kuranda Scenic Rail at 9.50am. Arrives at Kuranda by 10.10am
Depart on Skyrail from Kuranda at 2:00pm
Pick up from the Caravonica Skyrail Terminal at 3:30pm
Drop off to your holiday accommodation at between 4:00pm and 4:30pm.
Day 2
Depart Cairns Helipad by 12.30pm.
Arrives at Pontoon by 1.00pm.
Depart the Outer Reef Pontoon by fast catamaran at 3.45pm.
Returns to Reef Fleet Terminal in Cairns at 5.30pm

What is not included: The Kuranda train and skyrail tour includes no drinks or meals. There is no accommodation included in either package.

Booking Policy

Please advise the following:
The approximate body weight for each passenger. Passenger weight restrictions apply for the helicopter tour. Any passenger over 110kg will incur a $90 surcharge because there will be less seats sold on that tour.
