The 5 Day Liveaboard option is one of the most popular learn to dive options in Cairns. Not only are you certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, but you also get FIVE additional 'Fun Dives', including a guided night dive at no extra charge! Spend 3 Days and 2 nights at the Great Barrier Reef, for a truly memorable learn to dive experience! With personalised service, combined with the warm tropical waters of the Great Barrier Reef, this is the perfect combination for one of the best PADI 5 Day Open Water courses available.

Courses Commence: This course can start any day of the week subject to availability. Places do book out quickly so advance bookings are highly recommended. Starts at 9am on day 1 and 2, and 7.45am on day 3. Return time on day 1, 2 and 5 is approximately 4.30pm.

How to book: A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the balance due, on the first day of the course. You can book online via the rates table below or call 1800 681 685 (free call) from within Australia. Pre-requisite for this course is the ability to swim at least 200 metres unaided and to be able to tread water for ten minutes. This is tested in the training pool before going to sea. You will also require a current Dive Medical. A Dive Medical can be arranged for you, on the first day of the course for $55.00.

What to take with you: * Swimmers * Towel (each day) * Lunch/Money on days 1 & 2 * Money for soft drinks/snacks etc for days 3 - 5.

The following extra fees on top of the course fee applies.

An additional fee of $45 per person is payable direct to the course master. This fee consists of a Government Environmental Charge as well as a Port Departure Tax, fuel levy and administration charges.
A Dive Medical A$55.00 - payable direct to the doctor on Day 1 of the dive course.
Passport Photos - A$5 per person is payable direct at check in.

9.00am pick-up from your city accommodation Classroom theory. Dive medical to AS 4005.1 (if required)

* Please note on days one and two - meals, accommodation and Medical are not inclusive. You will also at some point in the first 2 days be required to swim 200m and tread water for 10 minutes.

DAY THREE

7.45am pickup from your city accommodation.
Transfer out to the reef aboard ReefQuest and do your first 2 training dives.
Lunch (included)
At 14:30 transfer to OceanQuest where you will spend the night.
Lunch, dinner and accommodation included

DAY FOUR

Breakfast,

Certification as Open Water diver
Afternoon pleasure dive

Booking Policy

If possible please bring small soft bags aboard our vessels and put large suitcases into storage. We do have storage facilities at our shop, however these are not locked during work hours. We suggest leaving valuables at your accommodation whenever possible.
