The 6 day Learn to Dive Open Water and Advanced Course Liveaboard option is designed for those wishing to get the maximum amount of diving and experience in a very short time. You get the entry level Open Water Certification AND the next level - the PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Certification all within the same course in just six days.

Courses Commence: This course can start any day of the week subject to availability. Places do book out quickly so advance bookings are highly recommended. Starts at 9am on day 1 and 2, and 7.45am on day 3. Return time on day 1, 2 and 6 is approximately 4.30pm.

A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the balance due, on the first day of the course.  Government reef tax, fuel levy & port charges of $80 per person are included in the prices in the rates table below. 2x Passport Photos can be purchased for $5 if you don't bring your own.

Pre-requisites:

Pre-requisite for this course is the ability to swim at least 200 metres unaided and to be able to tread water for ten minutes. This is tested in the training pool before going to sea. You will also require a current Dive Medical. A Dive Medical can be arranged for you, if required, on the first day of the course for $60.00.

LEARN TO DIVE ITINERARY

DAY ONE * 9.00am pick-up from your city accommodation Classroom theory. Dive medical to AS 4005.1 (if required) * Lunch (not included) * Dive equipment selection * Pool training * 5.00pm return. (approximately)

DAY TWO * 9.00am pickup from your city accommodation * Pool training * Lunch (not included) * Classroom theory. * 5.00pm return. (Approximately) * Please note on days one and two - meals, accommodation and Medical are not inclusive. You will also at some point in the first 2 days be required to swim 200m and tread water for 10 minutes.

DAY THREE * 7.45am pickup from your city accommodation. * Transfer out to the reef aboard ReefQuest and do your first 2 training dives. * Lunch (included) * At 14:30 transfer to OceanQuest where you will spend the night. * Lunch, dinner and accommodation included

DAY FOUR * Breakfast, * 2 more training dives Lunch (included) * Certification as Open Water diver * Afternoon pleasure dive * 1 training night dive. * Breakfast, lunch, dinner and accommodation included.

DAY FIVE* Breakfast, * 2 more training dives Lunch (included) * Certification as Open Water diver * Afternoon pleasure dive * Guided night dive. * Breakfast, lunch, dinner and accommodation included.  

DAY SIX* Breakfast, * 2 training dives and 1 more pleasure dive Last dive completed by 2.00pm. * Breakfast and lunch included. * 5.00pm return to your accommodation.

The following extra fees on top of the course fee applies.
* A Dive Medical A$60.00 - payable direct to the doctor on Day 1 of the dive course.
* Passport Photos - A$5 per person is payable direct at check in.

Important Information
Some medical conditions will prevent you from diving. Some of the more common conditions are Asthma, Diabetes, Epilepsy and heart or lung conditions. Pregnancy is also a contraindication to diving. Some other medical conditions may also be a problem. If you are unsure about any specific condition please contact us.
The minimum age to participate in this course is 12. There is no maximum age. Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or adult over the age of 18 years.

Flying After Diving: We recommend that you do not fly for at least 24 hours after diving. This means that the earliest you should fly is 12 pm (midday) on the day after your dive course ends.

Booking Policy

If possible please bring small soft bags aboard our vessels and put large suitcases into storage. We do have storage facilities at our shop, however these are not locked during work hours. We suggest leaving valuables at your accommodation whenever possible.
