The Fitzroy Island Tours or Ferry depart from the Cairns Marlin marina and it takes just 55 minutes via the coastline to arrive on beautiful Fitzroy Island. The ferry currently departs at 8.30am from Cairns and departs Fitzroy Island at 4.30pm.
Departure Dates: The Fitzroy Island Ferry Departs daily at 8.30am and returns at 4.30pm. The Sea Kayak Tour is running 7 days a week and this trip is maxed at 8 people per trip.

More Information: Fitzroy Island is one of 600 "Continental" or "High" islands on the Great Barrier Reef which means it used to be part of the mainland before rising waters separated this tranquil paradise. Over time a fringing coral reef surrounded the island, providing a sheltered home for a variety of fish and coral species. Covered in pristine rainforest you can enjoy spectacular Island walks within the 339 hectares of National Park area. Getting wet and experiencing the fringing coral Great Barrier Reef of Fitzroy Island is as easy as stepping of the beaches directly in front of the resort. There is a wreck nearby to snorkel at or kayak in the sheltered islands waters of the Great Barrier Reef.
There is a beach hire shack on the island to rent equipment from. Fun for the whole family! The campground at Fitzroy Island has just re-opened after a long period of being closed. You can use the campground toilet/ bathroom, and BBQ facilities at no charge if you are visiting as a day guest. Camping bookings are allowed, so let us know at the time of booking if you wish to camp over night on the island.

All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult or guardian 18yrs and over when travelling to the Island
