“Cairns In A Day" is a tour package designed for those visitors to the Cairns region who wish to make the most out of their one free day. The package offers two options for the morning activity, whether that be the Kuranda Scenic Train and Skyrail experience, or an exhilarating Skydive over Cairns! The afternoon sees you flying to the outer Great Barrier Reef by helicopter and meeting up with a reef cruise company that will provide you an Aussie BBQ lunch, glass bottom boat coral viewing tour, and optional snorkelling activity or scuba diving (at extra cost) for the remainder of the afternoon before cruising back into Cairns.

Departure Dates: This tour package can operate everyday of the year except for Kuranda part of the tour package on the some dates due to maintenance, or closure of either the Train or Skyrail parts of the tour.

Departure time from Cairns: 8.30am. Returns at around 5.15pm. Tour includes a hotel pick up and drop off from Cairns hotels. There is an extra charge for bus transfers from Cairns beaches hotels where transfers are an additional $25 per person and Port Douglas hotels where transfers are an additional $53 per person, which is payable on the day.

Government reef tax, fuel levy & port charges are included in the prices in the rates table below. A 25% deposit payment is required at the time of booking. The balance is payable on the day of travel.

Kuranda Train and Skyrail Morning Option: 7:30/8:30am - Enjoy a historical scenic train journey through the Barron Gorge to the famous Kuranda Markets and village for shopping and sightseeing. 11:00am - Glide over 7.5km of pristine World Heritage rainforest suspended high above the lush tropical canopy on the famous Kuranda Skyrail.

Skydive Morning Option:
9:00am - Skydive 11,000ft from the latest Cresco 750 aircraft (Australia’s fastest Skydive plane) and experience a 30 second freefall and accelerate from 0 to 200kph vertically in just 10 seconds. Videos, photos and 14,000ft dive also available at additional costs.

Afternoon Activity:

12:00pm - Transfer to the General Aviation Cairns Airport. Your driver will be awaiting you at the completion of your morning activity, to transfer you to the airport. Here, the friendly staff will provide you with a safety briefing relating to the exhilarating flight that you are about to embark upon.

1.00 pm - 30-Minute Helicopter Flight out to the Great Barrier Reef. Grab a camera for this spectacular, 30-minute flight over the Great Barrier Reef, from the interior of the air-conditioned helicopter with live video-recording system. Aerial views are the only way to really appreciate the tremendous scope and awe of this amazing eco-system!

1.30pm - Once at Hastings Reef, transfer over to the Osprey V, a sleek, high speed dive vessel where lunch awaits you. Spend the afternoon snorkelling, diving or take an informative glass bottom boat coral viewing tour.

3.30pm - Cruise Back to Cairns
Sit back and enjoy the live entertainment and complimentary wine as you cruise back to Cairns aboard the Osprey V cruising at around 25 knots.

5.00pm - Arrive Back in Cairns
End the perfect day in Tropical North Queensland with a drink or a meal in Cairns cosmopolitan town centre or let your driver take you back to your accommodation.
