Day 1: Welcome to Uluṟu (Ayers Rock) – Kata Tjuṯa (the Olgas) – Uluṟu Sunset

On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you’ll be transferred to the resort (flights to arrive prior to 1.00pm). Travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Walk through Walpa Gorge, following the natural creek bed between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta. Later at the sunset viewing area, witness the striking colour changes of Uluru while sipping sparkling wine.

Hotel: Outback Pioneer Lodge (Budget), Desert Gardens Hotel(Superior), Sails in the Desert Hotel (First Class) or Outback Pioneer Hotel (Standard), Ayers Rock Resort.

After sunset, join us under the stars at our exclusive venue. Enjoy sparkling wine on arrival, then dine on a menu of steak, lamb sausages, chicken skewers and garlic prawns, salads and a tasty dessert. Day 2: Uluṟu Sunrise & Sacred Sites – Farewell from Alice Springs

Watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre alight while enjoying a warming cup of tea or coffee. Afterwards board your coach and travel around the base of Uluru as your Driver Guide provides commentary about the sacred sites and features of Uluru. Continue to the Kuniya Walk where your Driver Guide will escort you to Mutitjulu Waterhole. View Aboriginal rock paintings and learn about native flora and the Aboriginal and European history of Uluru. Later visit the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre to see Aboriginal arts and crafts. This afternoon travel through beautiful and rugged scenery, as your Driver Guide talks about key landmarks, while sharing some local history and stories on the many sights you’ll pass en route. You’ll be amazed at the sight of Atila (Mt. Conner). Often mistaken for Uluru, it’s a distinctive flat-topped mountain that rises 300 metres above the desert sand. There’s time for an afternoon tea break (own expense) at Erldunda Roadhouse before arriving in Alice Springs.

Departure Dates: Daily, from Ayers Rock Resort at approximately - 2.30pm and returns around 6.30pm

What to bring
pmUluru – Kata Tjuta National Park Fee: AUD$25 per person. (it is included in the above rates but you won't pay this fee now, you will only pay it when you arrive there)
Sturdy walking shoes (preferably ankle high), hat and sunscreen, towel and toiletries, swimming gear, warm clothing, water bottle, torch, insect repellant, fly net to cover your head if you are bothered by flies (outback tours particularly), camera, pillow, money for optional snacks you might want to buy and/or meals not included on the specific tour you might be doing.

How much luggage can I bring?

One medium size suitcase per person, the sum of its length/width and depth not to exceed 140cm (56") plus an overnight bag (airline bag size) which may be carried on-board the coach. Maximum weight of all luggage not to exceed 20Kg (44lbs). We are required by strict Government vehicle weight regulations to enforce and adhere to this limit.

Booking Policy

Cancellation Policy:
Greater than 42 Days prior = A $200 per person cancellation fee.
42 - 7 days prior = 20% + $200 per person cancellation fee,
6 - 1 days prior = 50% + $200 per person cancellation fee,
Day of Departure = 100% cancellation fees.

You have to reconfirm your tour at least 48 hours prior to the departure date.
