Itinerary

Day 1: Alice Springs – Ayers Rock

Depart Alice Springs and travel through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges. Visit a camel farm for an optional camel ride (own expense) and later stop to view majestic Atila (Mt. Conner), before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon visit Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and explore Walpa Gorge. Enjoy complimentary wine and canapés while watching the sunset at Uluru.

Hotel: Outback Pioneer Lodge (Budget), Outback Pioneer Hotel(Standard), Desert Gardens Hotel (Superior) or Sails in the Desert Hotel (First Class), Ayers Rock Resort.

Add-on the Uluru Barbecue Dinner for $130. After sunset, join us under the stars at our exclusive venue. Enjoy sparkling wine on arrival, then dine on a menu of steak, lamb sausages, chicken skewers and garlic prawns, salads and a tasty dessert. All accompanied by a selection of wines, beers and soft drinks. There’s time for stargazing too (weather permitting). 

Day 2: Uluṟu (Ayers Rock) and Base Tour - Kings Canyon

Rise early to watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre and Uluru alight. After sunrise join your Driver Guide for a drive around the base of Uluru then travel to Mutitjulu Waterhole. Here view Aboriginal rock art and learn about the area as your Driver Guide indicates native flora and fauna and explains the history of Uluru. Visit the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre to see locally-made arts and crafts. Travel to Kings Canyon.

Hotel: Kings Canyon Lodge (Budget), Kings Canyon Resort, Standard Rooms (Standard or Superior), Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge*(Superior + Wilderness or First Class + Wilderness) or Kings Canyon Resort, Deluxe Spa Rooms (First Class), Kings Canyon Resort.

Day 3: Kings Canyon

Join a guided climb to the rim of Kings Canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park (for those with a good level of fitness, sturdy shoes required). An easier walk along the boulder-strewn canyon floor is also available. Enjoy lunch at Kings Canyon Resort (own expense) before returning to Alice Springs.

What to bring
Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park Fee: AUD$25 per person. (inluded in the rates above)
Sturdy walking shoes (preferably ankle high), hat and sunscreen, towel and toiletries, swimming gear, warm clothing, water bottle, torch, insect repellant, fly net to cover your head if you are bothered by flies (outback tours particularly), camera, money for optional snacks you might want to buy and/or meals not included on the specific tour you might be doing.

How much luggage can I bring?

One medium size suitcase per person, the sum of its length/width and depth not to exceed 140cm (56") plus an overnight bag (airline bag size) which may be carried on-board the coach. Maximum weight of all luggage not to exceed 20Kg (44lbs). We are required by strict Government vehicle weight regulations to enforce and adhere to this limit.

Booking Policy

Cancellation Policy
Greater than 42 Days prior to departure date = a $200 per person cancellation fee.
42 -7 days prior = 20% + a $200 per person cancellation fee,
6 - 1 days prior = 50% + a $200 per person cancellation fee,
Day of Departure 100% cancellation fees.
