During the 2 Day Uluru Discovery Tour you will visit Alice Springs, Ayers Rock, a camel farm also enjoy a sunrise over Ayers Rock, the Olgas, Walpa Gorge. This over night tour includes your choice of accommodation at Ayers Rock Resort and starts from Alice Springs and ends in Ayers Rock.
Departs: Daily at 7.00am from Alice Springs accommodation. Your hotel pick up time will be advised at the time of booking.
Concludes: 12.00pm at Ayers Rock Resort

As this Short Break departs at 7.00am, accommodation will need to be pre-booked for the previous night.
Day 1: Alice Springs – Uluṟu (Ayers Rock) Sunset
Travel through the Tjoritja/West MacDonnell and James Ranges. Stop at a camel farm for a camel ride (own expense) and later stop to view majestic Atila (Mt. Conner), before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. Travel to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Walk between the domes in Walpa Gorge, before travelling to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Watch the sun set and the changing colours of Uluru while enjoying complimentary wine.
Hotel: Outback Pioneer Lodge (Budget), Outback Pioneer Hotel(Standard), Desert Gardens Hotel (Superior) or Sails in the Desert Hotel (First Class), Ayers Rock Resort.
Day 2: Uluṟu Sunrise & Sacred Sites – Farewell from Uluṟu (Ayers Rock)
Rise early to watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre alight. Make your way to the viewing platform to see many kilometres into the distance, providing an ideal photo opportunity. After sunrise join your Driver Guide for a drive around the base of Uluru. Continue to the Kuniya Walk, where you will be escorted to the Mutitjulu Waterhole. This waterhole was a key source of water for the Aboriginal people in the area and had been in use for many thousands of years. See Aboriginal rock art and hear about the Aboriginal and European history of the area. Visit the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre. It houses an amazing collection of original paintings and punu (woodwork) that provide an insight into the unique and spiritual culture of the Anangu people, the traditional custodians of Uluru. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport (flights to depart after 12.30pm).

What to bring
Sturdy walking shoes, hat and sunscreen, towel and toiletries, swimming gear, warm clothing, water bottle, torch, insect repellant, fly net to cover your head if you are bothered by flies (outback tours particularly), camera, money for optional snacks you might want to buy and/or meals not included on the specific tour you might be doing.
How much luggage can I bring?
One medium size suitcase per person, the sum of its length/width and depth not to exceed 140cm (56") plus an overnight bag (airline bag size) which may be carried on-board the coach. Maximum weight of all luggage not to exceed 20Kg (44lbs). We are required by strict Government vehicle weight regulations to enforce and adhere to this limit.
Child age is 2 - 15 years.
Cancellation Policy
Greater than 42 Days prior = A $200 per person cancellation fee.
42 -7days prior = 20% + $200 per person cancellation fee.
6 - 1 days prior = 50% + $200 per person cancellation fee.
Day of Departure = 100% cancellation fees.
You have to reconfirm your tour at least 48 hours prior to the departure date.
