Explore the sights of Alice Springs, Ayers Rock, the Olgas and Kings Canyon on this 4 night tour, which allows you to choose the type of accommodation you stay in. This allows groups of people to travel together where if some are travelling on a budget and others are not, they can still travel on the same tours together. 

Departure Dates: Daily, from Alice Springs hotels at approximately - 2:00pm.

Tour Concludes: In Alice Springs and there is no scheduled activities on the last day. Check out time from the hotel is 10am.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Welcome to Alice Springs

On arrival in Alice Springs you will be transferred to your hotel (flights to arrive prior to 12 noon). See the sights of Alice Springs including the School of the Air.

Hotel: Ibis Styles Alice Springs Oasis (Budget), Aurora Alice Springs (Standard), Lasseters Hotel (Superior) or Chifley Alice Springs Resort (First Class), Alice Springs.

Day 2: Alice Springs – Uluṟu (Ayers Rock) – Kata Tjuṯa (the Olgas)

Travel through the Tjoritja/West MacDonnell and James Ranges. Visit a camel farm where there is time for a short camel ride (own expense). Pause to view majestic Atila (Mt. Conner) before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. Travel to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuṯa and walk through Walpa Gorge. Later witness the striking colour changes of Uluṟu at sunset while enjoying nibbles and complimentary wine.

Hotel: Outback Pioneer Lodge (Budget), Outback Pioneer Hotel (Standard), Desert Gardens Hotel (Superior) or Sails in the Desert Hotel (First Class), Ayers Rock Resort, 2 nights.

Add-on the Uluṟu Barbecue Dinner for $130. After sunset, join us under the stars at our exclusive venue. Enjoy sparkling wine on arrival, then dine on a menu of steak, lamb sausages, chicken skewers and garlic prawns, salads and a tasty dessert. All accompanied by a selection of wines, beers and soft drinks. There’s time for stargazing too (weather permitting).

 

Day 3: Uluṟu (Ayers Rock) Sunrise

Watch the sunrise at Uluṟu then join your guide for a drive around the base of Uluṟu. Travel by coach to the Kuniya Walk where you will be escorted to the Mutiṯjulu Waterhole. See Aboriginal rock art and hear about the Aboriginal and European history of the area. Later visit the Uluṟu – Kata Tjuṯa Cultural Centre.

 

Upgrade to The Rising Sun & Sacred Walk for $66. Experience the sacred beauty and culture of Uluṟu led by a member of the local Aṉangu people. View the majestic sunrise at Uluṟu then enjoy breakfast. Immerse yourself in Aṉangu culture as you gather around a campfire and learn about ancient bush skills. Then join your guide for an interpretive walk at the base of Uluṟu.

Day 4: Uluṟu (Ayers Rock) – Kings Canyon – Alice Springs

Travel to Kings Canyon. Make the rocky climb to the rim of the canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park or you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn creek bed, an easier walk. Later continue to Alice Springs.

Hotel: Ibis Styles Alice Springs Oasis (Budget), Aurora Alice Springs (Standard), Lasseters Hotel (Superior) or Chifley Alice Springs Resort (First Class), Alice Springs.

Day 5: Farewell from Alice Springs

You'll be transferred to Alice Springs Airport for your onward flight (flights anytime).

An AUD$25 per person National Parks fee is excluded from the rates table above and is payable on the day of travel.

On the 3rd morning, you have a choice to join the Uluru Sunrise, Climb and Base Tour (Y18) or for the non-climbers, the Uluru Sunrise and Guided Cultural Walk (Y41). Please advise us your choice when you book.

What to bring
Sturdy walking shoes, hat and sunscreen, towel and toiletries, swimming gear, warm clothing, water bottle, torch, insect repellant, fly net to cover your head if you are bothered by flies (outback tours particularly), camera, money for optional snacks you might want to buy and/or meals not included on the specific tour you might be doing.

How much luggage can I bring?

One medium size suitcase per person, the sum of its length/width and depth not to exceed 140cm (56") plus an overnight bag (airline bag size) which may be carried on-board the coach. Maximum weight of all luggage not to exceed 20Kg (44lbs). We are required by strict Government vehicle weight regulations to enforce and adhere to this limit.

Cancellation Policy
Greater than 42 Days prior = A $200 per person cancellation fee.
42 -7 days prior = 20% + $200,
6 - 1 days prior = 50% + $200,
Day of Departure = 100% cancellation fees.

You have to reconfirm your tour at least 48 hours prior to the departure date.
