With this Far North Queensland Tour package you fly from Cairns to Bamaga in Queensland's far north and then you do a tour to the tip of Queensland and that is followed by a ferry to Thursday Island, a bus tour of Thursday Island and a bus tour on Horn Island before a flight back on the afternoon of the 4th day back to Cairns.
Departure Dates: (May - October) Departs Cairns every Tuesday and 7am. Starts from Cairns Airport, with check in one hour prior to the departure time. Returns to Cairns airport on the fourth day at 6.40pm.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1 of Cape York tour: ( D)
This morning at 6.00am,you will make your own way to Cairns Airport. Check in for your flight to Bamaga at 6.00am. This morning you will take a flight from Cairns at 7am, arriving to Bamaga
You will be met at the Bamaga airport by a staff member from Loyalty Beach campground and fishing lodge. The first day is yours to explore on your own. You may wish to go fishing for the day with a professional local guide.
If you would prefer an overland tour to be arranged the first day, it can be done on a sole charter basis only, with a four hour tour to Muttee Heads and other places of interest in and around Bamaga, costing around $480 for 1 - 6 people.
Alternatively, take your bird book and binoculars for a coastal scenic bushwalk or relax at the beach with a good book, or, fish from the Seisa jetty for a while. Bring your fishing rods, bait can be supplied. Overnight in a single/ twin share room (shared bathroom facility).
Day 2: (B, D) Today you will take a 4WD tour with your guide all the way to the tip of Australia. The tour runs from 8am - 4pm and includes pick up and drop off to your accommodation. Points of interest: The Tip of Australia, Croc Tent, Somerset Beach, DC3 plane crash site, local indigenous communities of the Northern Peninsula Area and more. Overnight in a single/ twin share room (shared bathroom facility).
Day 3: (B,L,D) After an early breakfast, you will be dropped off at Seisa wharf for the 8am ferry to Thursday Island. On arrival, you can enjoy a guided tour of the island (included) starting at 09:30am. Then catch the Ferry over to Horn Island and have a bite to eat.
Transfer back to the mainland and enjoy you last evening at Loyalty Beach
Overnight in a Single/Twin share room (shared bathroom facility).
Day 4: (B)The final day is yours to do as you please. (lunch at own expense) Here are some suggestions for things which can be done during your free time at own expense:
- Fishing trips.
- Boating ventures to other islands, including snorkelling adventures.
- Aerial sightseeing, either in a helicopter or light aircraft.
- 'Garrison Town tour' of Thursday Island.
- 'Forgotten Isle tour' of Horn Island.
- A tour of a working pearl farm.
- Any suggestions can usually be arranged
Check in for your flight at Bamaga. Board your flight to fly over The Great Barrier Reef to Cairns ending your fascinating safari of adventure and discovery in Australia’s far north. The Cape York and Torres Strait Island tour ends at Cairns airport at 6.40pm.

Baggage Limits
The free checked baggage allowance is one piece not exceeding 16kg per passenger (except infants under 2 years not occupying a seat). The total linear measurement must not exceed 140cm (add together the depth, width and length).
The free cabin baggage allowance is one piece not exceeding 4kg per passenger (except infants under 2 years not occupying a seat).The total linear measurement must not exceed 105 cm (add together the depth, width and length). Due to the size of the aircraft cabin storage is limited. Check-in staff at all ports are required to sight all carry-on baggage.
Excess Baggage charges will apply for any baggage that is in excess of the free baggage allowance.
