Day 1: Alice Springs – Uluṟu (Ayers Rock)

Travel through the West MacDonnell and James Ranges. Visit a camel farm where there's time for a ride on these 'ships of the desert' (own expense) and later stop to view majestic Atila (Mt. Conner), before arriving at Ayers Rock Resort. This afternoon tour to Kata Tjuṯa (the Olgas) where your Guide will escort you on a 2-3 hour walk among the domes to the Valley of the Winds lookout (shorter walk available). Afterwards take in a magnificent outback sunset at Kata Tjuṯa (the Olgas). Then take in a magnificent outback sunset at Kata Tjuṯa while you enjoy a complimentary glass of sparkling wine.

Day 2: Kings Canyon

Drive through sand hill country to Kings Canyon. Make the rocky climb to the rim of the canyon and be rewarded with marvellous views of Watarrka National Park. Alternatively, you may wish to explore the boulder-strewn canyon floor, an easier walk. After lunch (own expense) we return to Ayers Rock Resort.

 

Day 3: Uluṟu Sunrise & Base Tour - Depart Ayers Rock

Rise early to watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre and Uluṟu alight. After sunrise join your Guide for a drive around the base of Uluṟu. Travel by coach to the Muṯitjulu Walk where you will be escorted to the beautiful Muṯitjulu Waterhole. View Aboriginal rock art and learn about the area as your Driver Guide indicates native flora and fauna and explains the history of Uluṟu. Visit the Uluṟu – Kata Tjuṯa Cultural Centre to see locally-made arts and crafts. In the afternoon you will be transferred to Ayers Rock Airport (flights to depart after 12.30pm).
