Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Alice Springs
On arrival in Alice Springs you will be transferred to your hotel (flights to arrive prior to 12 noon). See the sights of Alice Springs including the School of the Air.
Hotel: Ibis Styles Alice Springs Oasis (Budget), Aurora Alice Springs (Standard), Lasseters Hotel (Superior or Superior + Wilderness) or Chifley Alice Springs Resort (First Class or First Class + Wilderness), Alice Springs, 3 nights.
Day 2: Tjoritja/West MacDonnell Ranges
First stop is Angkerle (Standley Chasm) then Ellery Creek Big Hole. Explore the Ochre Pits. Visit Ormiston Gorge then enjoy a Ploughman’s lunch at Glen Helen Homestead Lodge. Top off the day with a visit to Simpsons Gap.

Day 3: Palm Valley 4WD Safari
Visit the Aboriginal community of Hermannsburg. Travel down the bed of the Finke River into Palm Valley to see an oasis of rock pools and palm trees.

Day 4: Alice Springs – Uluṟu (Ayers Rock) – Kata Tjuṯa (the Olgas)
Travel to Ayers Rock Resort. Visit the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuṯa and Walpa Gorge. Watch the sun set at Uluṟu while enjoying nibbles and wine.
Hotel: Outback Pioneer Lodge (Budget), Outback Pioneer Hotel (Standard), Desert Gardens Hotel (Superior or Superior + Wilderness) or Sails in the Desert Hotel (First Class or First Class + Wilderness), Ayers Rock Resort.
Day 5: Uluṟu (Ayers Rock) – Kings Canyon
Watch the sun rise at Uluṟu. Visit the Mutiṯjulu Waterhole and the Uluṟu – Kata Tjuṯa Cultural Centre before travelling to Kings Canyon Resort.
Hotel: Kings Canyon Lodge (Budget), Kings Canyon Resort, Standard Rooms (Standard or Superior), Kings Canyon Wilderness Lodge* (Superior + Wilderness or First Class + Wilderness) or Kings Canyon Resort, Deluxe Spa Rooms (First Class), Kings Canyon.
Day 6: Kings Canyon – Alice Springs
Climb to the rim of Kings Canyon, with stunning views of Watarrka National Park (for those with a good level of fitness). Or you may wish to explore the canyon creek bed, an easier shady walk. Return to Alice Springs arriving early evening.

Sturdy walking shoes (preferably ankle high), hat and sunscreen, towel and toiletries, swimming gear, warm clothing, water bottle, torch, insect repellant, fly net to cover your head if you are bothered by flies (outback tours particularly), camera, pillow, sleeping bag (can be hired AU$20), money for optional snacks you might want to buy and/or meals not included on the specific tour you might be doing.
How much luggage can I bring?
The vehicle has limited space so please keep your luggage to a maximum of 15 kgs in a backpack or soft overnight bag with a small day pack for easy access to camera, film, sunblock etc.
What do I eat on tour?
The emphasis is on fresh food wherever possible and the meals are nutritious and varied. If you are vegetarian or gluten intolerant we can cater for you, but if you have very specific dietary needs you may need to provide your own food, please discuss this at time of booking. For breakfast we supply cereals, toast, tea and coffee. Lunch is usually a self-serve sandwich and salads; in the evening we have a cooked dinner. We always carry water in the vehicle and you will often have the chance to buy your own drinks, ice-creams etc at stops.

30 Days + Prior to travel date: A $100 p.p. administration fee.
48 Hours - 30 Days: 25% of Fare
24 Hours - 48 Hours: 50% of Fare
