Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Uluṟu (Ayers Rock) – Uluṟu Barbecue Dinner
On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you will be transferred to the resort (flights to arrive prior to 3.00pm). This evening view sunset and the changing colours of Uluṟu while enjoying nibbles and complimentary wine. Travel to our exclusive venue to enjoy a delicious barbecue dinner and stargazing (weather permitting). Enjoy sparkling wine on arrival and dine on a meal of steak, lamb sausages, skewered chicken, garlic prawns and a selection of fresh salads and a tasty dessert. All accompanied by a selection of wines, beers and soft drinks.
Hotel: Outback Pioneer Lodge (Budget), Outback Pioneer Hotel (Standard), Desert Gardens Hotel (Superior) or Sails in the Desert Hotel (First Class), Ayers Rock Resort, 2 nights.

Day 2: Uluṟu Sunrise – Valley of the Winds – Kata Tjuṯa Sunset
Rise early to watch the first rays of the sun set the Red Centre alight. After sunrise join your guide for a drive around the base of Uluṟu. Then travel by coach to the Kuniya Walk where you will be escorted to the Mutitjulu Waterhole. View Aboriginal rock art and hear about the Aboriginal and European history of the area. Visit the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre to see locally-made arts and crafts.
This afternoon travel to Kata Tjuṯa. Enjoy a 2-3 hour walk through the domes to the Valley of the Winds (shorter walk available). Marvel at an outback sunset while enjoying complimentary wine.

Experience the sacred beauty and culture of Uluru led by a member of the Anangu people. View the majestic sunrise at Uluru then enjoy breakfast before joining your guide for an interpretive walk at Uluru’s base. Immerse yourself in the Anangu culture as you gather around a campfire and learn about ancient bush skills.

Day 3: Kings Canyon – Farewell from Alice Springs
Drive through sandhill country towards Kings Canyon, stopping for a breakfast at Kings Creek Station. Climb to the rim of the canyon for marvellous views of Watarrka National Park (for those with a good level of fitness). Continue the 3 hour walk around the canyon with your guide and learn about its geology. Alternatively, enjoy a more leisurely 1½ hour walk along the boulder-strewn canyon floor. This afternoon travel on to Alice Springs.

Sturdy walking shoes (preferably ankle high), hat and sunscreen, towel and toiletries, swimming gear, warm clothing, water bottle, torch, insect repellant, fly net to cover your head if you are bothered by flies (outback tours particularly), camera, pillow, sleeping bag (can be hired AU$20), money for optional snacks you might want to buy and/or meals not included on the specific tour you might be doing.
How much luggage can I bring?
The vehicle has limited space so please keep your luggage to a maximum of 15 kgs in a backpack or soft overnight bag with a small day pack for easy access to camera, film, sunblock etc.
What do I eat on tour?
The emphasis is on fresh food wherever possible and the meals are nutritious and varied. If you are vegetarian or gluten intolerant we can cater for you, but if you have very specific dietary needs you may need to provide your own food, please discuss this at time of booking. For breakfast we supply cereals, toast, tea and coffee. Lunch is usually a self-serve sandwich and salads; in the evening we have a cooked dinner. We always carry water in the vehicle and you will often have the chance to buy your own drinks, ice-creams etc at stops.

30 Days + Prior to travel date: A $100 p.p. administration fee.

24 Hours - 48 Hours: 50% of Fare
